Senior managers get to grips with organisational change

Restructuring and change management was on the agenda for the Irish business community at a business community event last week hosted in association with global talent and career management consultancy Right Management.

111 senior management including HR professionals from across Ireland came to hear specialists share their expertise and experiences of organisational change. The attendees were also given the opportunity to put their skills and knowledge to the test by participating in Right Management’s Change and Effectiveness tool.

Lillian Bissett from Right Management, comments: “In a time of unprecedented economic turbulence sharing case studies and best practice techniques have proven insightful. The results of the change and effectiveness tool found that many organisations endorse organisational change but don’t spend enough time managing people’s emotional response to that change. The change is thus less effective and often disrupts organisational efficiency. Acceptance and engagement are critical elements of the change process.”
